JERUSALEM, JUNE 28 - A delegation of representatives of Italy's institutions and businesses will be in Amman on July 1 to attend the Italian-Jordanian Commercial Forum organized by the Italian-Arab Chamber of Commerce (Jiacc) and the Jordanian Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE) in Amman and the Italian embassy in Jordan, the embassy announced. The embassy said that opening speeches will be delivered by Industry Minister Tarek Al-Hamouri, the President of Jcc Nael Al-Kabariti, the President of Jiacc Cesare Trevisani and Italian Ambassador Fabio Cassese. This year Italy and Jordan are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Italian embassy in Amman - ''an historic milestone celebrated by the recent visit of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella'', the embassy said. ''The visit - recalled the embassy - has been an opportunity also to strengthen economic bilateral relations. Italy is the second European country that exports to Jordan and Italy is the third EU destination for Jordanian exports. Bilateral economic exchanges in 2018 were worth some 800 million euros''.Topics of discussion at the Forum will include opportunities for Italian investments in Jordan in the sectors of infrastructure, energy, water provision, renewable energy, medical equipment, food and the farming industry, tourism and information and communication services.'Many Jordanian companies - stressed the embassy - are already growing with the use of Italian equipment and technology''. A special section of the Forum will be dedicated to Jordan as a door to access the region for supplies and construction with business-to-business meetings between Italian, Jordanian and Iraqi companies. The initiative in Amman will be followed in October in Italy by a presentation of Jordan together with a delegation of Jordanian entrepreneurs who will attend on the 17th the annual ''Italian-Arab commercial forum'' in Milan with Jordan as a 'guest country'.
