A special experience was held by number of Egyptian citizens in the UAE,
where they organized in Dubai a meeting with Ghada Ajami, member of the
Egyptian parliament, on her own initiative.
Jood Palace Hotel in Dubai witnessed a meeting between Egyptian MP Ghada
Ajami, a representative of Egyptians abroad, and about 50 Egyptian citizens, in
an open discussion under the title Ask the MP.
Ajamy said that Egypt is taking confident and firm steps towards a prosperous future and that the underway development mega projects have transformed Egypt into a major work site that is undergoing modernization and construction in all fields.
The participants discussed the reasons for the lack of clear communication to the Egyptians abroad and then to the world. Journalist Ashraf Jaber pointed out that this gap is very serious, and it must be filled seriously and professionally through a modern and accurate language that is understood and respected by the world.
Ghada Ajami agreed that the media file is indeed important and it is the bridge that carries the messages of reality which happening in Egypt to the world. Ajami expresses its readiness to support any initiative or project that can serve in this field.
Mohammed Al-Sawy invited participates to attend the launch his play as he work for the first show with number of friends, early November, which will address many of the interests of expatriates.
Attendees released discussions about some of the challenges facing Egyptians abroad, including health care, the transfer of bodies to Egypt, and other ways of encouraging Egyptians to invest in their country.
Ghada Ajami confirmed that the parliament will discuss a bill on the most prominent of these matters.
She called on Egyptians abroad to follow up the decisions, legal matters, all updates and projects through the official sites in Egypt and through embassies and consulates.
Several attendees participated in the discussions, including businesswomen Amal Allam, Eng. Majdi Al-Alfi, Farah Atef, Mervat El-Tahir, Najla Abdulla, Rabab Al-Dawas, Lorina Rezk, Tamer Al-Sawy, Mohamed Kayed, Maha Nour, And Ahmed Zidan.
The evening was managed by Atef Al-Batal, Sawsan Sahab, Noora Hamdi and Dr. Mena Al Husseini.
