The first session of the Arab-Chinese literature forum opened on Thursday in Cairo.
Writers from China, Egypt, the UAE, Sudan,
Yemen, Oman, Kuwait, Palestine, Algeria and other Arab countries are taking
part in the event alongside a number of public figures.
The forum is held in collaboration with the Arab Writers Union, the Chinese Writers’ Association and the Egyptian Writers Union.
The forum is meant to enhance cultural and intellectual cooperation between the Chinese and Arab intellectuals and writers.
The forum is expected to issue "Cairo Document" to crown the joint Egyptian-Chinese cooperation.
A cultural cooperation deal is expected also to be signed among the Chinese Writers’ Association, the Egyptian Writers Union and the Arab Writers Union.
