Egyptian agricultural exports hit $ 1.594 billion from September to April 2017-2018, marking a 4% rise in the same period in the previous year.
However, the amount of exported agricultural crops rose 13% from September to April in the 2017-2018
season to stand at 3.165 million tons against 2.802 million in the previous
season, the Egyptian Agriculture Export Council said in its monthly report out
exports rose to about 1.465 million tons in the eight month to stand at $
potato exports hit 615,887 tons to register $ 177.1 million, the report said,
noting that fresh onion exports stood at 339.665 tons recording $ 116.232 million.
pomegranate exports reached 146,399 tons to stand at $ 83.765 million, the
tomato exports at about 72,245 tons valued $ 36.562 million, the report
Fresh mango exports receded to 27,742 tons at $ 23.607 million against 20,287 tons at $ 19.669 million.
Beans exports inched down 2% to stand at $ 69 million against $70.52 million.
