The Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport, Elsewedy Electric, DB Schenker in Egypt were also among the chosen conglomerates, Transport Minister Hisham Arafat said on Wednesday.
The project falls within the framework of the ministry's plan to establish a comprehensive logistic mechanism for serving national and international trade.
The 100-feddnan inland port will be set up in the Sixth of October City under the public-private partnerships (PPP) system, he said.
Chairman of the General Authority For Ports and Dry Land Fouad Othman said the project will cost $ 100 million.
The project will serve international trade, give momentum to the Egyptian harbors' capacity and reduce unemployment.
He added that a tender will be launched soon for establishing a 300-feddan logistic center.
The dry port facility will include 13 specialized zones to receive and store containers, liquid and dry bulk cargo, multipurpose storage warehouses, an administrative area and customs offices.
In December 2017, the Egyptian government conducted an investor roadshow in London for the 6th of October Dry Port project.
