DP World launched on Tuesday a green warehousing initiative on the World Environment Day. The initiative is the first of its kind to be launched by the state to help companies reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

in addition to building the biggest solar power project in the Middle East via installing 88,000 solar panels at DP World
These panels will generate clean energy for 3,000 houses a year.
DP World Chairman and CEO Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem said "this step will promote our role in curbing climate change via expanding use of energy and encouraging innovation in line with 2050 Dubai Clean Energy Strategy which aims at diversifying energy resources, reducing energy demand by 30% by 2030 and building an economic system based on sustainable environment and clean energy."
