states ranked as number 1 investor in Egypt in the second quarter of the
2017-2018 fiscal year.

investments in Egypt posted $ 1.96 billion, according to the monthly report by the Central Bank of Egypt.
The report said the UK investments in Egypt stood at $1.06 billion,
followed by Belgian investments at $ 521.6 million and French investments at $
were estimated at $ 58 million, Italian investments at $ 47.1 million and
German investments at $ 30.8 million.
Dutch investments in Egypt recorded $ 24.8 million, Spanish
investments at $ 11.2 million and the Irish at $ 4.5 million, the
Arab countries investments in Egypt totaled around $ 722.3 million in the second quarter of 2017-2018 FY
The UAE investments alone stood at $ 521 million, Saudi investments at $ 87.1 million, Kuwaiti at $ 21 million and Bahraini at $ 12.6 million, the report said.
The US investments in Egypt stood at $ 585.3 million in
the second quarter of 2017-2018 FY, the report said.
Chinese investments in
Egypt recorded about $ 44.2
million, Swiss at $ 35.7 million, Japanese at $ 14 million and Norway at $ 2.2
