The Egyptian Ministry of Communications and IT signed a memorandum of understanding with Schneider Electric - the world's global specialist in energy management and automation.
Under the memo, both sides will cooperate in exchanging technical expertise and establishing a smart city in the Knowledge City in the new administrative capital to be a beacon for innovation and research.
Communications and IT Minister Yasser El Qadi said the cooperation memo falls within the framework of a long-term strategic relations binding the ministry and the international company of Schneider Electric.

Meanwhile, Regional Director of Schneider Electric in Egypt and North Africa Walid Shata said the
company plans to re-locate its HQ from New Cairo to the Knowledge City
which will offer top-notch technological systems and innovation.
