Egypt is the sixth biggest export to the UK in Africa and the Middle East as Egyptian
exports to the UK
stood at £202 million in the first quarter of 2018 against £157 million in the
same period in 2017, according to the Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce.
Egypt's imports from the UK plunged 4.8% standing at £245
million in the first quarter of 2018 against £ 257 million in the corresponding
period in 2017.
exports to the Middle East and African
countries dropped by 14.5% in the first quarter of 2018 standing at £5.127
million against £5.988 million in the same period in 2017.
The UK imports from regional countries
went down 11% in the first quarter of 2018
to stand at £ 3.169 billion against £3.559 billion.
