The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) lost LE 16.1 billion during the four trading sessions this week.
The market capital stood at LE 991.9 billion this week
against LE 1.008 trillion in the previous week, according tot he bourse's weekly report.
The EGX 30 benchmark index went down by 2.89% to 17,833 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SMEs) rose 1.49% registering 879 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index inched up 0.07% to 2,293 points.
