Treasures of Pharaonic King Tutankhamun will be moved to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in preparation for partial inauguration of the museum by the end of 2018, Egyptian Minister of Antiquities Khaled El-Anani said.
GEM will receive on Saturday the last historic chariot of King Tutankhamun from
the Military Museum in Saladin Citadel.
Six chariots will be displayed at the museum.
Work is going on within the set timetable to open the
museum by the end of the year, he said.
Egyptian Museum in downtown Cairo will alter its display mechanism on November 15 as the
treasures of King Tutankhamun - which were exhibited at the Egyptian Museum
located in Tahrir Square since their discovery inside King Tutankhamun's tomb
in the Valley of Kings on the western bank of Luxor in 1922- will be moved to
