The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned on Sunday 91- and 273-day treasury bills at LE 14.250 billion.
The 91-day T-bills stood at LE 7 billion with an average yield 17.45%.
The 273-day T-bills valued LE 7.250 billion with an average yield 17.43%.
The CBE issues treasury bills and bonds on behalf of the Ministry of Finance to make up for the budget deficit which is expected to reach LE 370 billion.
Also, Arab grants and aids alongside international loans contribute to covering this deficit.
