Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt Tareq Amer announced on Sunday that Kuwait agreed in principle to renew $4 billion deposits to Egypt.
He made the announcement in press statements on the fringe of the Arab Banking Conference "Fintech Innovations and the Future of Financial Services" which is organized by the Union of Arab Banks.
He stressed Egypt's
adherence to paying its foreign debts and financial commitments on due date.
He noted that the Egyptian government seeks to diversify its external debt resources.
