Egypt's Tourism Minister Rania El-Mashaat had talks on Tuesday with UAE Minister of State for Happiness Ohood Bint Khalfa Al-Roumi on means of launching happiness tourism destination.
the meeting on the fringe of the Arab Tourism Meeting (ATM), El-Mashaat reviewed
the conditions of the Egyptian tourism and the importance of diversifying
tourism products to encourage tourists flow to the country.
Al-Roumi reviewed the National Program
for Happiness and Positively which aims to make the UAE amongst the
top five happiest countries in the world by 2021. Happiness Index, which is a
composite indicator that measures an individual's assessment of his standards

that could promote virtues of positive lifestyle in the community and a plan
for the development of a happiness index to measure people's satisfaction.
The program covers three areas; namely inclusion of happiness in the policies, programs and services of all government bodies and at work; promotion of positivity and happiness as a lifestyle in the community; and development of benchmarks and tools to measure happiness.
