The Egyptian Exchange
(EGX) indexes posted collective gains at the end of Monday's trading backed by Arab
and foreign purchases.
The market capital gained LE 14.8 billion to reach LE 969.2 billion, after transactions that hit LE 2.4 billion.
The EGX 30 benchmark index went up by 2.1% to 16,742.15 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SMEs) inched up 1.2% registering 905.2 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index rose 1.1% to 2,242.1 points.
